Creating a timer in Storyline

Actually, the timer has always been an option. It is just not as intuitive. If you insert a result slide in your presentation (you can choose the blank one - and you can even put in a scene you do not intend t use) you check the "end Quiz after option" Choose whatever time you want and select your format. This will add a timer to the player for every slide.

Can I get a visual on how to do this in Storyline?

  • Hi, Niya.

    Thank you for reaching out!

You can find the timer under the Result Tools ribbon. You can either change the settings under the Timed Quiz option or by clicking on Quiz Settings

The timer will be displayed when you preview or publish your file:

    Hello,

is it possible to export the timer from the frame and display it in the slides?

and to work with its values as if it where a variable, like with %Results.ScorePercent%

    thanks!

    • Hello Have!

Great question! There isn't a way to display the timer on the Player on a slide. Here's one of the many discussions that share how to create a timer on a slide: Adding a Timer to Storyline Courses

You might consider displaying the timer on the Player and an additional timer on a slide. Please keep us updated with what you decide!
