Default to Closed Captions ON
Is there a way to have the closed captioning on by default?
Hi LaWaune,
You can achieve this using a variable trigger on your slide. Unfortunately, you'll need to do this on every slide where the captions appear. The good news is that once you create the trigger for one slide then it's a simple copy/paste job to the others. This forces the captions to turn on automatically at the beginning of each slide.
I've included a screenshot of the trigger we use for this.

You should be able to add the trigger once on the master slide , which would then take effect on all slides.

You could also change the default value of Player.DisplayCaptions to True.
I just noticed that changing the default to True only works for HTML5 output. It doesn't seem to work for Flash.

The default value can be changed in the Variables screen.
