Does Articulate have any plans to make a Mac OS compatible version of Storyline?
Or any other products?

Well, this sucks. I've been using Storyline on VMware Fusion for the last decade. I work primarily every day in Storyline along with teaching several workshops every year. And I just dropped some big coin last year upgrading this MBP and VM. My MBP is a 2013 and I suspect I'll get another year or so out of it. So let's hope the wizards at Mac, VM, Parallels, and others figure something out because as you pointed out, Articulate is not interested in developing a Mac version of Storyline.

I do freelance now, and have been doing e-learning in various forms for about 25 years. I recently interviewed with a very large “disruptive” car company worth about half a $trillion or so. They use Captivate. I was curious why, and the interviewer said that they use so many Macs. Badda bing
I bet Storyline is nowhere near IBM either, which has transferred a large percentage of their workforce to Apple. Their tech support for those employees dropped by about 80%.
There are still companies like Articulate that live in the old timey PC world and can’t see beyond it, think that “only hippies use Apple.” I haven’t known a single creative who, given the choice, would use a PC over Apple. I know lots who have to because their employers erroneously think they’re cheaper (they’re not, life cycle).

Hi Matthew
Thank you for the heads up on that. Our Macs are two years old and we don't intend on upgrading any time soon. But this will certainly help others.
I wish they would develop a 64 bit version!

Parallels and a Windows License for that environment also costs a not
insignificant amount of money. This prevents individuals with only Mac
computers from being able to take advantage of the only software that
provides the ability to make deeply interactive courses now that Flash is
no longer an option. - FrancescaPas655Community Member
My company doesn't allow me to use this solution because it's considered not InfoSec compliant. :(

FYI, this thread is a bit old, but I wanted to add a note that I've been having only mixed success with running Articulate 360 on a 2021 M1 Mac under Parallels/Windows 11 ARM version. It seems very unstable, loses line spacing settings, and crashes frequently.

Curious to hear the experience of people working on M1 Macs who have been working extensively, not just doing a few tryouts.
Thanks,
Lon

Jumping on the Captivate bandwagon!

I have thought about taking that route too. However, I have heard that the learning curve for Captive is very steep. Have you found that to be true?

Sometimes I remote into my PC from my Mac using Microsoft Remote Desktop...

Why waste your money on overpriced Machines and limited software on a Mac just so Apple can finish building their flying saucer to Mars in Cupertino? Try Bob for NT.

Funny some people still think that
