Drag and Drop Using Imported Power Point with Grouped Objects
Hello. I am fairly new to using Storyline 360. My goal is to create a drag and drop and have used the recorded webinar David Anderson made available to teach myself how to complete this project. ...

By definition, a Group contains more than one object. It is possible to add a trigger to a Group. However, a Group cannot be used in the same way that an individual object can.
- A Group can't be dragged.
- A Group can't have States.
- A Group can't be put into a button set.
The solution is to create a shape that includes the desired extra elements (such as a photo) within its state(s).
The attached file has an example. The rectangle is one object. While in the Edit States mode, I inserted a photo, and then resized and repositioned it as needed (as shown in the image below).
After clicking Done (to exit Edit State mode), I have one object in the Timeline.
Note: The text is not a separate item. It is entered directly into the shape. To ensure it doesn't interfere with the photo, I adjusted the Left margin.
