Elapsed Time on Button State

Hi Everyone

Just seeking some help in adding a trigger to a button state based on an elapsed time.

When a user clicks a button and continues to keep it pressed in a down state for 5 seconds, it will trigger a jump-to-slide action.

Seems it a bit odd, however just trying to replicate buttons on a physical controller for simulation purposes within Storyline.

  • Hi Andrew, you can use a silent audio to trigger the jump-to-slide action. 

    1. Add a 5 second audio (you can have sound when testing and make it silent after then.)
    2. Two triggers for play and stop the audio to detect if the button state is down.
      • Play the audio when state of the button is Down
      • Stop the audio when state of the button isn't Down
    3. Jump to slide# when the audio completes
