Embed Vimeo Video
I've embedded dozens of Vimeo videos into Rise courses without issue, but am just these past couple days having this happen (see attachment). I haven't changed any export settings in Vimeo, and used the same process to embed two problem videos yesterday and today that I've used all along. Preceding the video illustrated in the attachment, I had embedded 10 other videos in the same course just fine. This morning I opened another, separate, course to preview a video that I'd updated on Vimeo this morning that displayed fine in Rise yesterday and get this same errant display. FYI - The 'typical' video that I embed shows the prescribed Vimeo thumbnail and not this text. Does anyone have any ideas?

Any solution to this? I'll reach out Vimeo to see if they have a solution.

I found a workaround that doesn't really make sense, but seems to be working.
Up until now, I've embedded my videos using Vimeo's player code: https://player.vimeo.com/video/xxxxxxx?h=yyyyyyy. The "?h=" is something that they just started about a year and a half ago, or at least that's when I noticed it. A typical Vimeo player code is: https://player.vimeo.com/video/xxxxxxx/yyyyyyy (notice the forward slash where the ?h= is in the previous URL exemplified.
As an experiment, I reverted back to the 'forward slash solution' and it worked. Odd thing is that other videos that I've embedded in Rise over the past six months have the ?h= and play and display fine.
Hi Don! I tried a couple of Vimeo videos and I'm also seeing the "?h=" from the embed code. However, mine is just playing just fine. If I change that to a forward slash, the embed code no longer works.
Would you mind sharing the complete code for the video you are trying to embed? I just wanted to run a quick test on my end as well as compare it with the ones I used.
Have you reached out to Vimeo support about this? I'm curious to know if they have a possible solution to the issue you are encountering.

Thanks for the response! It appears it was a user error. We had some handoffs to newer folks on the team. Thanks for the response, it seems to be working just fine.
Great to hear things are working well on your end, Matt!
