Embedding a YouTube video and setting up parameters
Hi Jodi,
Here are some of my thoughts to the best of my knowledge.
YouTube is a service for people to upload their videos and allow other people to see them. However, they have the right to do what they want, including running ads. As an administrator of a YouTube channel, I can also tell you that I determine if cards offering subscriptions or additional videos are added to my videos and viewers can't change that.
If you want to play back videos as "purely" as possible, you really may need to consider an Online Video Platform (OVP), such as muse.ai or Vimeo. This allows you to embed video and play it back without ads and with playback controls you choose.
I am guessing you do not own the video that you are trying to embed, so an OVP wouldn't work for you anyway.
My suggestion would be to contact the owner of the video via YouTube and ask if you can have a copy of the video to use in your course. This will do 2 things: 1) allow you to embed the video into your e-learning course "as is" without YouTube's control, clutter, etc., and 2) make sure that you have permission to include the video in a published e-learning course.
You may have thought of some of this already, but I thought I would throw out my thoughts.

Thank you for your information. I'll think about your suggestions and maybe those are my only options.
