Embedding Microsoft Forms
I am trying to embed a form in a rise course. It worked pretty good with google forms but isn't showing the same way for microsft forms. I try to use the embed code but rise isn't reconizing it. The link option works but it isn't seemless. Any thoughts?
Hi Marie!
Instead of using the Microsoft Form embed code, just copy the URL to the form.
Then, insert that URL in this iFrame code that works nicely in Rise 360:
<iframe src="URL HERE"></iframe>
Give it a try, and let me know how it goes!

This is exactly what I needed. Thank you. It would be nice if this line of code were added as a text suggestion right below the URL/iframe field for ease of copy/paste.

Hi
Regarding the advice above, can you please explain WHERE to insert that code? Or, how to identify where to insert the code in a particular course?
I know very little about coding so specific instructions would be really helpful.
Thanks!

This worked your a life saver
thank you!!!
Hi Jane! Try these steps:
- Insert a Multimedia Embed block.
- Click Edit to open the block editor.
- Under the Content tab, click the Change link.
- In the "Paste URL or iframe code here" field, paste the iframe code
<iframe src="URL"></iframe>
. Replace URL in that code with the actual URL link to your form. - Press Enter.
Let me know how that goes!

Hi! I am also trying to embed a web object into Rise. In my case I'm trying to connect learners to a SharePoint Microsoft online page to get them familiar with the resources the company has available and send them directly to the page rather than creating a simulation that will need to be updated every time the landing page changes. However, no matter what I try in Rise or Storyline 360, I get the following error. Is there a workaround or is it not possible due to access/login restrictions? I've tried finding articles on this but haven't been successful.

So the "fix" to this isn't working at all for me. It just says "Please enter a valid URL or iframe" each time I've tried.

This was a quick tip that really worked. Thanks!!

Also found out its working for firefox on my mac (not chrome and safari though). Trying to find out if it's an issue locally on my computers..
Hi there, André. If you're still having trouble with embedding in Rise 360, send us the URL or the iframe code by clicking here. We'll take a closer look at it!

i found out that the error occurs when you force people to login to office 365 to complete the form. It has something to do with x-frames.
if I remove the login the form works just fine i Rise. But then i can't track who is using the form which is required in my case. so i found an alternative to Ms.forms which allows user tracking.- ChristinLund366Community Member
Thank you so much, Andre!
Hi Christin! It could be that Microsoft Forms no longer allows their content to be embedded in frames.
Instead of using an iframe embed code, can you simply paste survey link into the Multimedia Embed block?

Just the info I was looking for. Thanks!

I'm wondering if the user is already logged into an LMS, and hopefully a company VPN, that the embedded iFrame would work? Meaning, they won't have to log in again?

Hi Anne-Marie! What site are you trying to insert into an iframe and embed into your course?

An MS Form, or actually any Office 360 online app. Mind you, I haven't tried it yet, just wondering if anyone happened to know. Employees need to be logged into the LMS already, and with SSO I'm hoping they will already be able to jump into the Form. I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for the response, Chino!
