Error 'online presentations aren't supported' in Articulate Presenter
I would like to use Articulate Presenter to create a training based on a Powerpoint slide deck. However, when I click any of the Articulate buttons in Powerpoint (Quizmaker, Engage etc.) I receive an error message that 'online presentations aren't supported. Save a copy to your local drive to continue'.
In my organisation all our local drives are moved to the cloud, so I can only use OneDrive to store files. How can I solve this issue?

Are you using a cloud-based version of PPT?

I guess so. We recently migrated all Office 365 apps to the cloud.
Hi Inge,
One of the requirements of Presenter 360 is for the presentation file to be saved locally somewhere on your computer before you can begin making changes to it:
Try moving your presentation to a local directory on your machine to see if this helps!

Hello Inge,
Studio is not compatible with the web versions of PPT. - https://articulate.com/support/article/Studio-360-Supported-Versions-of-Microsoft-Office

Is there any version of Studio that can be compatible with PPT. If it's irreplaceable I don't know of an app similar to Studio. Please let me know if you know.

I am having a similar problem. In my organization, everything is backed up to OneDrive, including my Desktop. There is no local drive that is not backed up to OneDrive. How do I get around that?
Hello Mindy,
If all of your folders are backed up to OneDrive, you'll need to reach out to your IT staff to ask them if they can disable the syncing for one of the folders. This should do the trick.
If this isn't an option, please open a case with our support team here so we can find another workaround for you!

Hey Mindy,
I found that I could access this by pausing OneDrive sync in my toolbar and then opening PPT.
I hope this helps you.

Hi, I did pause OneDrive sync to use the Presenter but each time I try to open "Engage", to add a video etc my PPT crashes. Any help on this? Thank!
Hello Aurélie,
Good call pausing OneDrive sync. Since PowerPoint is crashing whenever you launch Engage 360, try repairing your Studio 360 suite to see if this fixes the issue. If repairing doesn't work, please open a case with our support team here for additional assistance.
