Hi Cody,
This issue isn't really specific to screen recordings and has usually more to do with where the project files are being saved, or some form of data corruption that the project file encountered. I'd like to ask a few questions to help clarify your experience:
- Are all of your project files saved to your local drive?
- Have you tried doing a repair of your Storyline 360 installation?
- Do you have an application running on your computer that syncs your project files to an online or network location?
If none of the above help isolate what's causing the issue, I'd recommend reaching out to your support engineers via a support case so we can take a closer look at your setup.

Hello and thanks for following up,
So I was able to recover all that I had saved yesterday and that is saved to my local drive (my computer). However, I do have some files shared to a shared folder. Should I only save projects to my computer?
As far as the repair of storyline installation, I have not tried that yet or was aware of that as a solution option. I will most likely need admin assistance for access but can definitely give that a try!
And for your last question, I’m not sure what applications could do this, so I don’t think so? Is there anything else I need to do?
Best,

Thanks for the response! At this point, I'd recommend avoiding accessing files directly from your shared directory. Accessing files that are hosted on a network drive leaves the file susceptible to data corruption because of the latency, so this is something we recommend avoiding. Try working exclusively from a local drive, and check to see if this improves the situation.
