Essay interaction working in preview slide but not preview scene
Hey heroes - me again. I have an essay interaction where the user types a written response to a video they just watched and when they click submit, they should move to a slide layer where they can compare their answer to the content I've provided. It works as expected when I preview the slide, but when I preview the scene, it's skipping the slide layer it's supposed to go to and navigating to the next slide (a knowledge check). Any thoughts or corrections on where I may have done something incorrectly with my triggers? Slides attached.

Amitty,
Please don't apologize! That's a very valid question and made me think of a better alternative.
My original suggestion was to only submit the answer when they're on the layer, which shows the comparison. The user will still see the comparison, but the question will only be submitted once they press the next button.
A better solution, however, is to use your layer as a feedback layer. In form view, choose Feedback: By question.
It will create a layer called Thank You. Delete that new layer and rename your Untitled layer to Thank You.
Move your submit essay interaction trigger to the bottom of your list, and everything should work as expected.
I am attaching your edited file with that suggestion.
Let me know if it works!

Hi, Amitty.
Thank you for sharing your .story file!
When you press submit on your essay slide, the first action that happens, based on the order of triggers, is that it gets submitted and automatically jumps to the next slide.
I would recommend moving the Submit Essay trigger to the layer, instead:

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I'm just not getting it. 😅 You're suggesting that I keep my Submit button and the other layers (change states of and Show Layer) on the base layer but remove the essay trigger so that when they click Submit they move to the Slide Layer - but then have have them click another button (the Next Button on the Slide Layer) to submit the essay answers? Wouldn't clicking the Next button also push them to the Knowledge check before they'd get to see the comparison of their answers?
