Export to XLIFF 2.0 File in Rise
Hi,
Is there a plan to update Rise to export XLIFF 2.0 files? My translation vendor will be requiring this version.
Thank you!

Hi Peter, we purchased and downloaded the HEROTRANSLATE tool via the Microsoft Store about a year ago and have successfully done a lot of translation tasks with it. We still receive regular updates from the developer and our IT department saw no game-stoppers to use it in our business context.
I'd wish Articulate to support international customers better with their needs for translations, but luckily some developers jump in to bridge the gaps here!

I have just run into this issue also,.
Looking at this thread it is disappointing that this was discussed over a year ago and it is still not on the roadmap.
XLFF 2.1 is a must surly most translation services and software I have come across have this as a standard, articulate you are dragging your heals!
I have to translate into 12 languages and currently you cannot export other than xlf and its an archaic versions so require converting to excel translating and reconverting...
Surly there is a better solution ?
Is there any translation integration planned for rise/storyline?Can you update to 2.1 for XLF? - aroldonoriega-2Community Member
DEEPL is probably the best translating tool around, are there any news on this update? The thread has been quiet for over a year.

Hi, is there any update when Rise will be able to export XLIFF to 2.1
screening through the forum I can see that it is an open topic for years. How a company like rise, considered as one if not the top solution for content creation is not up to date ?
thank you for your feedback and even more a quick implementation of an updated version. Thank youHi Marc,
Thank you for your feedback. I've added your voice to the feature request that we are currently tracking, and we'll let you know when this gets added to our product roadmap.

Hello!
What translation vendors do you all use?
Thanks! Keri - NicoSchriever-7Community Member
I found a workaround which let's you translate Rise courses with Deepl. Please feel free to reach out - I'd be happy to help.

I would be interested on your workaround. We use Deepl. We are having more and more courses needing translation.

Download XLIFF Manager and run your file through there to convert it to 2.1. Then run through deepL. Then merge it back into XLIFF Manager and click all three radio buttons on the bottom. Once it opens in notepad, select all and copy and then go back to the original RISE file and paste it in. It should now be ready to put back in RISE

how are you doing it?
- NicoSchriever-7Community Member
I built a tool which uses the Deepl translation engine to directly translate the XLIFF 1.2 file for you. I'd be happy to show it to anybody who is interested.

Definitely interested!
Could you share how you manage this?- NicoSchriever-7Community Member
I'd love to share it here, but I want to follow the forum rules and not link to external pages.
Basically I built a tool that connects to Deepl and let's you translate the courses very easily.
Can you please reach out to me via email or LinkedIn?
