External audio timing is messed up.

Hello team, I'm working on a project where I'm inserting external audio file from the file library and trying to adjust the timing according to the length of the speaker notes (text to speech), but apparently the timings are not getting adjusted even after saving it multiple times.

Even when I tried to save it and immediately converted into LMS, when I review the course, the timings are messed up.

Please look into this.

  • Hi UrbanPiper Learning Enablement,

Thanks for reaching out about this! I understand that you are having an issue adjusting your external audio on the timeline. I’m happy to work with you to figure out why this is happening!  I have a few follow-up questions regarding the situation so I can understand what you are experiencing a little better.

    • Which version of Storyline are you using? I am using Storyline version 3.74.30180.0.
    • Is this happening with more than one file or is this the only one?
    • Are you working from a shared drive? If so, I recommend saving your files on your local drive before creating, editing, and publishing them. This will help minimize any unexpected behavior.
    • It sounds like the external audio is background audio and you don't want it to play when the text-to-speech audio starts. Is that the case?
    • Would you be willing to share your file here or with our support engineers privately in a support case so we can troubleshoot for you?

Thanks for reaching out and I look forward to your response!
