File Sizes vs Load Times
Hi everyone. We're trying to get a better sense of how file size affects load time. For instance, we're trying to determine if changing from mp3 to WAV will have a discernable difference in how the course loads & performs. If, say, making this switch results in a 100mb gain in the final file size, how would this impact the load time over a various connection speeds? Thanks in advance for any input!

All WAVs are converted to MP3s on publish so no reason to do it. It may help to understand how storyline preloads content. In the first instance it loads the first three slides and then loads subsequent content starting with linked slides. Unless you have lots of videos or content on a slide most content should load quickly. Often best not to overload the first few slides.

Thanks. Can't you alter the level/quality of that compression, however?

You can reduce the quality of the audio but it will always be a mp3.
