Focus order now working

I am working on making a Next Gen NCLEX type question (Bow-Tie). I have the drag and drop function working but I cannot get the tab order to work right even though I have it set up correctly in the focus order. Here is the review 360 link: https://360.articulate.com/review/content/dd5f03eb-93cb-4242-a508-ad221815aca7/review

I need it to tab to the actions to take first and then the Actions below. The green are not tabbed to as it is now.

  • Hi Aimee!

I'd be happy to share some insight on this!

Drag-and-drop interactions are not currently keyboard accessible in Storyline 360. However, our development team is tracking a feature request that would allow learners that type of functionality. I'll include your voice in the feature report and will update this discussion if it makes it onto our Feature Roadmap.

In the meantime, my colleague Sarah created an accessible download that may help you build the custom interaction you're looking for.

Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any more questions!

  • You can make accessible, I normally add motion paths and add all the required text into the alt tags. The difficult thing is to make it pop out if you place another one. Most of mine are proprietary so cannot share but it is achievable just takes more work.

  • I think you would be better off add letters or numbers next to the drop targets they shouldn't take focus. Then add triggers to move based on the letters. I would change the objects state when it moved so you know where it is and do the same with dropping. Add instructions in each of the alt tags.
