Freeform Quiz - How to unselect a choosen answer?

Hello everyone,

I need your help. I am creating a free-form quiz where you have to select multiple answers. Each answer has a “visited” state, so that the learner knows that they have clicked on that answer. The problem is, that every time I click on all the answers, I can't unselect them. This means that I cannot correct or my selection. If its a single choise answer then it automatically changes back to "normal" when i select another answer. how can i do this when i have a multiple choise question?

I tried using true/false variables, but I think I made a mistake somewhere and now I'm completely confused. 🤔🙃

I have attached the project for you. Can you please help me untangle this knot in my head? I left all the triggers i tried in this project, so you can maybe see my mistake.

Thank you in advance and have a nice day. :)

  • An object with a Visited state automatically changes to Visited as soon as it is clicked. And it remains Visited unless a trigger changes it.

Delete the Visited state. Instead, give the responses a Selected state.

For multiple-choice questions (that is, only one option should be clicked), the buttons should be in a button set. That will automatically ensure that selecting one button deselects the other buttons in the set.

For multiple-response questions, the buttons should not be in a button set. The first time a user clicks one, it will automatically change to Selected. If they click it again, it will change back to Normal. In other words, it will toggle between those states, without the need for triggers.

Oh, thats embarrassing. 😄 Thank you very much. I don't know why i didn't even think of deleting the trigger but it works now perfectly fine. Problem solved 🙂
