Having an imported .mp4 video into Articulate play full screen
Hi! I have tried all different ways of trying to import an .mp4 video into articulate and have it play 'full screen' to no avail. I have tried including/not including the 'menu', have the player settings to have it launch in a new, resizable browsers, changed the actual size of the play for 'custom' - nothing works! It could be that I just need to do future recordings using Articulate but I thought I would ask. I am not going to re-record this video as it was already approved for usage, and we CAN view the video fill screen outside of articulate, but it looks much nicer when it's wrapped in articulate along with its reference guide attached. It's just that so small in the player that it is hard to see.

Thank you for sharing the screenshot here. If you want the embedded video to play full-screen within the Storyline player, you'll want to adjust the Player Properties to 'Resize browser to fill screen' and 'Scale player to fill browser window'.
Also, it looks as if the dimensions of your Story Size do not match the dimensions of your video, which is the reason for the gray bars above and below the video.

I'm not able to see the image you attached via email. You can attach it directly to the forum thread by clicking the gray Add Attachment button at the bottom of the reply window, or click the Insert an Image icon at the top of the reply window.

Thanks for resending the image! It looks like your Player Properties are set up correctly. Is your goal to remove the gray space above and below the video?
Can you tell me the dimensions of the video (width and height) and the dimensions of the Story Size?
Hi! My goal is for the video to launch ‘full screen’.
If we play the video outside of Articulate it works just fine. It’s when I load it into Articulate that we lose that capacity of 'full screen'. This is the first video that I have imported into Articulate that won’t launch full screen.
I am attaching the original video. The dimension used in articulate are the 'standard' of 720 x 540; those were not changed.

The full screen button shown below isn't available if you import the video as an MP4 file. You could continue to stretch the video like an image until it takes up as much screen real estate as possible.
Another option is to insert the video as a Web Object (for example from YouTube or Vimeo). That would allow you to us the normal video controls, which often include full screen viewing. If you insert the video as a Web Object and you don't see the full screen button, it could be because the web browser is restricting fullscreen mode for embedded iframe content.

We are currently looking for a fullscreen mode for imported .mp4-files. Has anyone managed to work around this shortcoming? Embedded videos already have a fullscreen feature built-in, but we'd like to use the feature for all imported .mp4-files.
