Hover State Operates Differently - Text

I have a series of links on a slide with words being the links.  For some reason, the hover state works differently between words.  See a recording demonstrating the differences:https://360.articulate.com/review/content/52c4c7fd-dced-4813-a1b3-8723198b5e66/review  (Note, I did not ADD a hover state to the words as the words are all part of a text box and the text box has no hover state.)  I would prefer that the words did not disappear upon hover.  Ideas?

P.S. No judgement on the slide composition...it's in development. :)

    Hi Susan, 

    Thanks for including the screen recording! I've seen this problem happen before in Storyline 360, so you're not alone.

    Specifically, this happens when the text box has animation with the effect option of "By Paragraph". The problem should go away if you do not use the "By Paragraph" setting. Does that match what you're seeing?

    Hey Susan,

    I have some good news!

    We just launched the newest version of Storyline 360 (3.31.19951.0) this morning, which fixed the issue you saw when a text box has an animation with the effect option of "By Paragraph." You can review more on our latest update here: Storyline 360 Version History

    The next step is to update Storyline 360 by heading to your Articulate 360 desktop app and clicking "Update" next to Storyline 360.

    As I paid more attention to keyboard accessibility (and therefore paying more attention to focus), I began to think we should not style hover, focus, and active states the same way.

    Hover, focus, and active states should be styled different.

    There’s a simple reason: They’re different states!

    Today, I want to show you a magical way to style all three states effortlessly.

    The relationship between active and focus

    When you hold down the left mouse button on a focusable element, you trigger the active state. You also trigger the focus state at the same time.
