How to autoplay audio and video in ipad

Hello,

Please assist me with enabling autoplay for audio and video on iPad. I have a course hosted on SCORM Cloud, and the audio and video are not autoplaying without user interaction. A popup window appears every time, requiring the user to click on it before the audio and video autoplay. However, I wish to avoid these popup windows. Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this issue?

  • are you avoiding the Articulate overlay at the beginning? All media has to be initiated by user interaction, but you should not be getting popups and you elaborate more, perhaps show some screenshots

      Hello Ratnesh,

Thanks for sharing the screenshot and the video! I'm happy to share some insights into this question. You'll see the Play button for courses with audio or video on the first slide. To workaround this expected behavior, you can add a slide before the one with the audio or video, then set it to advance when the user clicks the Next button.

If you require any further information, please let me know.

  • Thanks, Eric,

Thank you for your great support. You mean we need one slide before for audio track autoplay and another after for video track autoplay, right? Is there any other solution because our course contains lots of slides for both audio and video? On those pages, the audio starts autoplaying first and then the video autoplays afterward. In this case, we would have to create many slides for the audio first and then for the video.

However, if no other solution is available, could you please provide an example slide so we can apply it to our course?

      Hi Ratnesh,

Just to clarify, you only need to place one slide with no audio or video at the beginning of your course (the first slide of the first scene). After that slide, the autoplay behavior should work as normal. Note that this can be any slide, as long as it is a slide your learners must interact with to proceed. I've attached a sample file so you'll see what I mean.

Let me know if you have any questions!

        Thanks Jose,

Do i need to install react.js to see demo.story slides in the
browser? I mean how i can see your given slides in the browser? So that
i can apply it in my scorm course.
Actually my course developed in lectora so i think i need
javascript file or html file for create extra slide in the course for
        autoplaying audio and video.

        Thanks
        Ratnesh
