How to capture question title in freeform (quiz format) using variable into Tincanny xAPI reporting plugin

I am wondering if there is a way to use a variable to capture the question title in Storyline and then pass this through xAPI into Tincanny Reporting for LearnDash. This would allow the question title, such as "Match the definitions below to the right mechanisms" from the attached image, to appear in the Tincanny "Question Column".

  • On the graded questions the slides have a placeholder that sends the title to the LMS, in scorm 2004 if you paste one of these onto the freeform slides (can be offscreen) it does the same thing, have you tried this with xAPI

  • Hey Phil, thanks for jumping on this. However, I don't know how to get the title of a question when I use XAPI to send statements to Tincanny.

  • Hey Phil, thanks for jumping on this. I tried what you suggested by copying the question from a graded question slide to freeform, and also used %Project.SlideTitle% variable as an object in the xapi statement builder, but it didn't work either. However, I don't know how to get the title of a question when I use XAPI to send statements to Tincanny.

This is a stab in the dark but works for Scorm. Insert a graded question copy the question placeholder (text box) from the slide paste it into your free form (move off slide if you don’t want to see it) add you question text in there). Works for scorm.
