Hey Phil, thanks for jumping on this. I tried what you suggested by copying the question from a graded question slide to freeform, and also used %Project.SlideTitle% variable as an object in the xapi statement builder, but it didn't work either. However, I don't know how to get the title of a question when I use XAPI to send statements to Tincanny.
This is a stab in the dark but works for Scorm. Insert a graded question copy the question placeholder (text box) from the slide paste it into your free form (move off slide if you don’t want to see it) add you question text in there). Works for scorm.
