How to edit the automatic scene numbering to start at 0 instead of 1?

I know there is an automatic numbering option for the entries in the player menu settings, but that starts with 1.
Is there a way we can adjust the automatic numbering so that it starts with 0 instead (for example, in the Word program, we can format numbering to start at 0). The reason is that our first module is always the introduction where it is more based on instructions on how to use the course, rather than the course content itself. We are trying to make it more user-friendly and less confusing for our learners.

I realize that we can uncheck the automatic numbering and just do it manually, but we do have a large number of scenes in most of our courses, so that is not as efficient for our needs. Is there a way to get this same outcome of starting with scene (or module) 0 instead of 1 automatically instead of manually? If the only way is with coding, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi BJ,

Currently, there isn't a way to have the player menu start at zero instead of one. The best way to possibly see a change in a feature is to submit a feature request. You can submit one here. If the request makes it onto our feature roadmap, we’ll make sure to update you in this conversation!

    Thanks for reaching out!

  • Yes, it would be great if you could start scene numbering at Zero.

    Thanks

      Hi Alexander!

Thanks for sharing the feedback on the type of functionality you'd like to see in Storyline 360!

I see that you've also submitted a feature request to our team. Great move! We'll be sure to update you if this feature makes it to our Feature Roadmap.
