How to Improve Learner Engagement Using Articulate Rise 360?

Hello everyone,

I’ve been working on creating an interactive course using Articulate Rise 360 for a client who wants a modern, visually appealing training module for onboarding new employees. While I love the simplicity and responsiveness of Rise 360, I feel like the course could use more elements to boost learner engagement.

I’ve primarily used the following features:

  1. Scenario blocks for decision-making activities.
  2. Interactive timelines to show the company’s history.
  3. Embedded videos to explain concepts.

However, I still feel like there’s something missing. Learners might complete the course, but I want to ensure they retain the knowledge and actively participate throughout the module.

Here are some challenges I’ve noticed:

  • Some learners skim through the content without really interacting with it.
  • Feedback on the scenario-based questions doesn’t seem to resonate with all users.
  • I’m unsure whether my use of multimedia is enough to keep their attention.

My question is:
How can I make my Rise 360 course more engaging and effective for learners? Are there any underutilized features or creative approaches you’d recommend?

Additionally, if you’ve successfully tackled similar challenges, I’d love to hear your strategies. For example, do you have tips for crafting compelling micro-interactions or using gamification elements within Rise 360?

Looking forward to learning from your insights and experiences!

My sugestion would be to add Storyline inserts with functionalities that Rise doesn't have.
Or to use gif. format images instead of static ones. They could also play a role showing progress or illustrating achievement.
