How to open .story examples?

I am reading these discussions to learn how to get started in Storyline but am never able to open any examples in the format .story.  All I get are dozens of pages of random symbols such as these: ...

Hello Josh, 

Thank you for reaching out and sharing what you are working on.

I'm curious if you've installed Storyline 360, part of your Articulate 360 subscription. This is the software needed to use a .story file you've downloaded.

You have a few options to open the file once it's downloaded:

  1. Open with from your file explorer:
  2. Open from within Storyline 360:
  3. Open when another project is open:
