I've just started using Rise and I have some questions. Is there place that tells me the image dimensions (ie: Image and Text, Image size for the accordion, etc.). My client thinks the font is too small in the image description, so I was going to overlay it on the image, but it keeps cutting it off and I'll be here all day trying to figure out the image size.
Hi Ashley: Taking this same concept further, when the zoomed page is loaded, how can I put any text on this page surrounding, or adding to, the zoomed image (not referring to a caption). Thank you, Ed

When you click on an image in Rise, that will zoom/enlarge the image itself. There isn't an additional page or section with which to add text - but if you could share a bit more about what you're looking to set up we can offer some other ideas!
Aha! When previewing one of your images on all the available devices, the images don't appear to change aspect ratio, just size. The boundaries are the same boundaries; the same information is available no matter the device. I just need to know the correct aspect ratio.

Within the Gallery in Rise you'll find it's a 1x1 aspect ratio, and when you click on the image it will be displayed full size.

Is there any way to enlarge the small circular image in a "quote carousel block" in Rise?
Hi. I am having image issues using the Gallery block and the three or four column grids. Images used to shrink down to the proper size to view the whole image and then zoom when clicked for the full view.
Over the last few months images have automatically zoomed to much larger than their actual resolution which cuts off the image. When you hover over and click to zoom the whole image appears at its proper size.

Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you are experiencing with the Gallery Block and for including those pictures.
Be sure that you're using the highest quality images for your Rise course for the best result.
For this particular block, I would recommend using images that are square in size to prevent the zooming effect that you are seeing.

That is semi-helpful. The gallery blocks didn't used to behave this way. I have older courses that automatically sized the images properly without have to resize the image with additional space on the sides.
Resizing also isn't possible when using images from the Content Library. It makes the content library pretty much unusable in those blocks.
Is this issue currently being worked?

The 1:1 aspect ratio is how the gallery blocks were designed and if the images used are a different ratio, the full size will be displayed when zoomed in. I know Tom shared some best practices about this above.
I do understand your point about the Content Library images, so I will be sure to share this with my team so we can keep a pulse on this.
I can see this was over 4 years ago. I'm having the same problems now. Some issues I'm having:
Would you be able to share specific dimensions for what works on your image information pages. I can resize an image if I know what to resize to.
@heather: thanks for jumping in...just a few thoughts
There are some image blocks that are designed to respond to the device and will crop the image. For example, the blocks with text and image are designed to keep the text as the key focal point, which then crops the background image. If you use one of the square image blocks, it crops to the center square. And some images blocks are designed to scale the image.
It sounds like you may be experiencing some wonkiness. If the images you insert aren't responding the way designed for that block, contact our support team and they can look at it.
If you want to share what image you're inserting and the result, start a new thread (so this old one doesn't run on forever) and ping me and we can look at it. We can see if it's working as it should or not and then offer some help from there.
Screenshots are problematic in terms of what resolution it was grabbed at and then how it's scaled when responding to the device. There is always going to be some image degradation if you insert a screenshot into a lower resolution container. To avoid any compression Rise does to optimize the image you
Just add _NOPROCESS_ to the name of your image file.
In terms of dimensions, the images will either crop (to respond to the screen) or scale. There's no perfect dimension. Here's what I recommend when working with images:

I have added to white text to an image in Photoshop and exported as a .png. Wen I upload the image in Rise, the text is no longer white. Any idea why this would be?
