Image sizing and scaling issue

I am using a vibrance template and have swapped out the photo etc. While building the slide, everything looks great, though when I preview the slide, all the photos have changed size. When I changed the photos, I right-clicked the image and chose to replace the photo from a file. I think it is something to do with aspect locking, though, everything I have tried is not working... any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • FYI - support got back to me quickly and is investigating the issue. The following recommendations were given. I chose option 3, which worked.

"Based on my investigation, the issue happens specifically for placeholder pictures used in slide master layouts. If the dimensions of the picture being placed are smaller than the size of the placeholder picture, it doesn't scale up when the project is previewed/published. I’ve logged it as a possible software bug.

You can try any of the following workarounds:

    • Manually insert the picture you want to use from Insert > Picture on the menu and adjust dimensions/cropping
    • Use a higher-resolution picture that matches or exceeds the placeholder picture's dimensions.
    • In your project, right-click the picture and select Export Picture > Save Picture. This will save a copy of the picture based on how it looks on the slide during development. You can then use it on the placeholder."

    Thanks folks!

  • Hi jpound I have seen another similar issue posted recently. I think a bug may have been introduced. I have experienced this in the past but was able to resolve by deleting and re-importing the image, but it might be worth working directly with support to see if they are working on a bug fix for this issue, or they can provide a solution for you.
