Imported Powerpoints "blackout" our company logo - WHY?
I have imported at least 4 sets of slides that use our company's template slide deck. On the slide deck, embedded in the lower right hand corner is the company logo >> My company name ® . In all 4 imports, this logo with the registered trademark symbol was blocked post import. Does Storyline look for and then subsequently block trademark symbols on company templates.....is this a licensing issue or a setting I need to tick to get this to come through?
Hi there, Paul. Happy to help you find the culprit!
Is the PowerPoint slide size the same as the Storyline slide size? Also, can I confirm that you're working on a local hard drive?
Working on a shared drive can cause such oddities, so I always like to rule that out first! Also, this article shares tips for importing PowerPoint and Presenter content!
If everything checks out there, I'd love to help troubleshoot if you're comfortable with sharing your PowerPoint file. You can share it publicly here or privately by using this upload link. I'll delete it after taking a thorough look!
Hi again, Paul. One more quick question!
Is your company's logo on the footer/header? If so, we're investigating an open issue where a PowerPoint footer does not carry over to Storyline after import.
Let me know if that matches your setup, I'll be here!

Was there a resolution to this issue? I am currently experiencing this... the powerpoint slide is the same size as the Storyline slide, working on a local hard drive and the company logo is on the footer/header. Thanks!
Hi Julissa!
Headers and footers aren't included when importing a PowerPoint into Storyline, so you'll want to add the Header and Footer text in the Slide Master in Storyline.
Please let us know if you need any help!
