Incorrect state appearing in preview
You mentioned that buttons 2-7 have their Initial State set to Disabled. And that you haven't added other triggers yet to change states. Based on that, buttons 2-7 should be disabled when you preview the slide.
Yet, instead, you say they appear in the Normal state. That's "unexpected behavior." It could be that the buttons were somehow corrupted. So try this:
- Delete the buttons. Then create new ones.
- If that doesn't solve the problem, I suggest you contact support (https://access.articulate.com/support/contact ). When you do, upload a copy of the .story file. It only needs to contain the slide that has the problem.
By the way, it sounds like a custom menu slide, with the users clicking buttons to jump to sections. In that case, I think it would be better to set the Slide Properties to "Resume saved state." With that setting, when the user returns to the slide after completing a section, the buttons will be in the state they were in when the user left the slide.
Otherwise, with "Reset to Initial State," whenever the user returns to the slide, button 1 will reset to Normal, and buttons 2-7 will reset to Disabled.
