Inegrate MS Copilot in Rise or Storyline Projects

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all doing well! I'm currently working on several e-learning projects using Articulate Rise and I'm interested in integrating Microsoft Copilot directly into these projects. The goal is to provide users with a chatbot they can access at any time to ask questions and get immediate assistance.

Our company has approved the use of Microsoft Copilot, so it's essential that we use this specific tool. I have experience with Rise and I believe it might be possible to integrate Copilot via a Storyline block.

Has anyone here done something similar or have any advice on how to achieve this integration? Any tips, resources, or examples would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best regards,

  • Hi PaSchl It's not actually possible to integrate MS Copilot. They don't make integration with web applications possible. According to their documentation, you would need to create your own agent using Microsoft Copilot Studio.

    Hey Paul,

I was wondering if you had any luck with this at all?

I would like to do something similar now that we have adopted Co-pilot. I am keen to understand what solution you came up with.

    Many thanks

Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, I haven’t had much luck with this so far. Sams Answer summarizes it the best. Maybe they will adopt in the future.
      Best regards,
      Paul

It is, as mentioned, mainly a issue with Microsoft and the associated costs. You really have to look closely at the licensing models. Even if you build an agent in Copilot Studio and integrate it somewhere, it can lead to significant expenses. Someone in a course asks your agent a question, that consumes tokens, licenses, or whatever applies. AI usage is resource‑intensive, and those costs are passed on to customers.

To make it feasible, you need to be very experienced with Copilot Studio, connect it properly with your own IT, and then carefully evaluate whether the costs and benefits are actually worth it.

My answers are more like hypotheses. I can’t say for sure that everything is 100% correct, but based on my current level of engagement with the topic, that’s the conclusion I’ve reached 😓
