Interactive Assessment

Hi,

I wanted to create a more engaging interactive assessment. Is there a way to give participants an option to draw? Also, how can I have them submit their "artwork" to me?  I see there is a submit trigger what does that do?

Thank you,

Natalie

  • The trigger submits certain types of interaction that we would want the user to do. Have them select a right answer to a question and click submit. The trigger will check if the answer is correct and report (if wanted) back to the LMS.

Letting participants draw is a very creative idea. I dont think there is a 'draw' datafield to use with triggers. A workaround that will let you draw is using webpart in a slide.

  • Hello Natalie,

    Happy to chime in!

For interactive assessments like drawing slides, there isn't a built-in feature in Storyline 360 that will allow you to do this. One workaround is to embed a website in your course using the Web Objects feature that will allow users to create drawings. Here's an example of a published course that lets users to draw and save their drawings to a local directory.

There isn't a way to allow the users to submit their interactions, but if you add a trigger for sending emails in your course, you can ask your learners to attached their drawing and send them to you via email instead.

    Hope this helps!
