Interference of (too many) Buttons

Hey Articulate-Community,

I have a slide that is causing me problems: On the base slide there are several buttons to which layers are assigned - however, I have these several buttons also on the sublayers, so that the visitor can navigate between them on each layer and does not have to go to the base layer again and again. However, this always results in interference between the "Selected" states, which seem to switch back and forth wildly. I've set the slides to "go back to saved" state so that users can see what they've already clicked on and don't have to listen to the whole slide again.

Do you guys have any ideas for me? Thank you very much!

    Hello there,

Depending on the template design, you may be able to overcome this issue by allowing users to freely traverse by letting them click on the base layer from each layer. As a result, you can restrict the use of several buttons on that slide.

  • I've already tried that and hoped that there could be a different solution. But still, thank you very much!

  • It would be easier to make suggestions if we could look "under the hood". Attach your .story file here, and you will probably get some good ideas.
