Introducing Annotated Screenshots in Review360
We've added Annotated Screenshots to Review 360, which improves how reviewers provide feedback to course authors.
This feature enables reviewers to add annotations directly onto screenshots of course content.
Reviewers can capture images while giving feedback and use various tools to mark them up—including text, boxes, lines, highlighting, and freehand drawing. Each annotated image connects to its related comment, making it easier for authors to understand exactly what needs changing.

Just learned of this functionality today. Great idea and wonderful to see. However, I am noticing that when done within Storyline the screenshot only shows the upper left quadrant of the screen. I am unable to pan or scroll to the right side or lower half of the screen to annotate. Am I missing a setting someplace? Does this have to do with slide size?

That’s honestly a fantastic update 👏
Annotated Screenshots are going to make feedback so much clearer for both reviewers and course authors. I’ve often found that written comments alone can be a bit confusing — especially when multiple visual elements are close together.
Being able to mark directly on the screenshot (with arrows or boxes) saves a ton of back-and-forth clarifications. It feels like such a simple addition, but it’s one of those features that really improves the overall collaboration flow in Review 360.
Can’t wait to test this in a real project — it’ll definitely help when working with clients who aren’t always great at describing what they mean in text 😅

Very useful. Indispensable. I sent translated modules (in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, etc.) and invited the proofreaders to use this feature (explaining how to do so in a few words in MY first comment). In this particular case, where I don't understand the meaning of the requested correction at all and I don't read the words/letters that I copy and paste, the comments were much more precise and easier for me to process.

I like it very much, as it removes the guesswork from identifying where edits are required. However, I wish there was an ability to delete individual annotations. Currently, when you hit delete it removes all the annotations in one sweep right?

I'm testing it on a review now. An initial thought is that I would like to be able to crop the screenshot. I don't necessarily need to mark up the entire screen.

I tested this new feature in several types of AR courses:
- Storyline: Good
- Rise built-in blocks: Good
- Storyline block in Rise block: NG — it doesn’t capture the exact screen as shown below.

This feature will make the review process much clearer and faster. This is wonderful especially as it shows exact point that needs to be changed. Terrific!

It says 'capturing screenshot' but just shows a white page afterwards.

Hi! My stakeholder has used this feature on a Microrise course, but her written notes on the annotated screenshot are cut off in the version that's submitted for feedback. I've had to go back to her and ask her to write her comments in full.

I got an error, when I tried the feature yesterday. I have sent an error-report.
