Issue with automatic translation in webbrowser
We currently share our e-learnings with our employees via a share link in anticipation of an LMS system.
However, we often receive feedback that there are writing errors in our e-learnings. This does not appear to be the case. But it is due to the setting of the web browser that automatically translates words from the Dutch text that also have a meaning in English into Dutch. Which sometimes leads to unintelligible sentences and texts.
Our target audience is usually not very digitally savvy, so a manual to turn this off is not the best solution. After all, they work on different devices and browsers.
Is anyone else running into this? Does anyone see a solution to this?
Is this only a problem because we don't distribute our e-learnings through an LMS?
I'd love to hear how you guys look at this!

Am I the only one having issues with this? Anyone having ideas how to solve this?
Hi FamiliezorgO-Vl,
Thanks for bringing this up! It’s a great observation, and I can see how that would be frustrating, especially when it seems like there are errors in the course, but it’s actually the browser’s automatic translation causing the issue.
Browsers like Chrome often translate content based on user settings, which can unintentionally alter course text, especially when sharing Rise courses via a link instead of through an LMS. This issue can make accurate course content appear to contain errors.
Using an LMS can offer more control over the learning environment, which may help prevent unintended browser behavior like this. I recommend testing your course in SCORM Cloud, a free LMS testing platform. This helps verify that browser-based translation won’t interfere with content once it’s hosted in a proper LMS environment.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions.

Thank you, EricSantos ! You are confirming what I was thinking.
Thanks for the tip on SCORM Cloud!Have you got experience with sharing e-learnings via XCL Build Capable (making use of LRS)?
I am testing this software for sharing and tracking learning links. I can upload SCORM or xAPI files.
Would it work the same way as content hosted in an LMS environment?
