Issue with questions being linked to the wrong result slide
Hi SafeTeamAcademy,
Thanks for reaching out!
I understand that some of your questions are being automatically reassigned to the wrong result slide. I can see how that would be both frustrating and time-consuming, and I’m happy to help troubleshoot.
To better understand what’s happening, could you let me know if the issue persists even after you’ve manually reassigned and checked each question? Also, does this behavior occur only in this specific course, or have you noticed it in others as well?
To get a better idea of how your course is setup, would you be willing to share your file with our team? You can upload that here or privately in a support case, and we'll delete it once troubleshooting is complete!

Hi KellyAuner !
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, the issue does persist, even after I manually reassign and carefully check each question. That’s actually the core reason for my ticket: despite assigning question slides to the appropriate result slides, some of them keep moving on their own, including those that are positioned below the overall score, as shown in my screenshot.
Also, this behavior is not limited to a single course. It occurs across all my Storyline modules.
Regarding file sharing, I won’t be able to provide the source file due to confidentiality and intellectual property constraints.
Let me know if you need any additional details to help investigate further.
Thanks ! 🙂

Hey SafeTeamAcademy,
Glad to see Kelly has been helping you.
I've seen cases where changes to Result Slides (such as duplication or reuse across projects) can affect how Question Slides remain associated and may require reassignment. Have those steps been involved in your workflow, or does the same behavior occur even when building new Question/Results Slides from scratch?
Also, unexpected behavior like this can sometimes occur when authoring directly off a network drive. Can you confirm that the affected .story file is stored on your local hard drive while making these edits?
I completely understand the confidentiality and privacy concerns over sharing the .story file itself. However, without seeing and testing the file, it's tricky to confirm the source of the issue. Just a quick note that anything you share with our team in a case is kept confidential. We're also happy to sign an NDA upon request!

Hello StevenBenassi,
Thanks for your message.
Yes, those steps are part of our workflow (duplication/reuse of Result Slides across projects).
However, we are experiencing the exact same issue even when working from a file stored locally on the hard drive, so it doesn’t seem related to a network drive.
Let me know if you’d like us to run any additional checks on our side.
Thanks!
