Issues with Storyline Stability, After Recent Updates
Hello Articulate Team,
Recently, Articulate Storyline has been very buggy, and I suspect there may be issues with the latest updates.
While working with the Question Bank, if I attend a meeting and the program gets minimized, Storyline minimizes completely and I’m unable to restore or maximize it again. The window does not reappear on my screen.
The only workaround I’ve found is to relaunch Storyline and close the program via right-click, which at least gives me the option to save my work. However, I still cannot recover or maximize the original window.
Additionally, since the recent update, I’ve been getting a message indicating that assets are causing conflicts with the tool. When I attempt to recover them, only some assets are updated while others are not, and I have lost work because of this.
This is particularly concerning, as I had not experienced these issues before, which makes me think they may be related to the recent updates.
This has been happening consistently and is affecting my workflow.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Hi Teodehesa2026,
Sorry to hear that Storyline has been acting erratically after a recent update.
From the behavior you've described, it sounds like the Storyline program window is getting lost off-screen or stuck in a bad state. Not necessarily a full crash. I've seen similar reports from authors using multi-monitor setups, especially if one disconnects or goes to sleep. Also, display scaling changes, such as docking/undocking a laptop can introduce hiccups like this. If you are working with multiple monitors, can you confirm the Windows display scaling is consistent across all displays?
The asset conflict message and partial recovery you’re seeing can sometimes be tied to syncing problems. Especially if you’re working from a network drive. In those cases, assets don’t always sync cleanly which can lead to incomplete recovery or lost work. Are your project files stored on your local hard drive while authoring?
It would also be helpful to know if these issues resolve themselves after rolling back to a previous version of Storyline. If you're currently running U3.115.36688.0, try temporarily downgrading to U3.114.36655.0.
Let me know how it goes!
