Hello! Let's talk storyboarding! I need to create a sample board as part of a job interview process. I want to make sure that I am using current industry standards for a tool (PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and for a board layout. What are you currently doing with your storyboarding? Can you provide a visual--it would be so helpful!

I would check out Tim Slade's how-to video on storyboarding (with templates!) here:
How to Write an eLearning Storyboard | The eLearning Designer's Academy by Tim Slade (elearningacademy.io)You might also consider using the concepts he teaches but in an open format by using a Miro virtual whiteboard.

Seconded! Tim Slade's example templates really helped me when I was getting started.

Hi Emily! Great question! These days, I'm not entirely sure there's an industry standard. A lot of companies storyboard differently. Some use Word, PPT, Google Slides, other tools like Owen mentioned, and even Storyline 360 or Rise 360. Depending on the types of projects you'll create, the resources you have, and what team members are involved, the storyboard can include different things. But since this is for an interview, they're probably just looking to see your process and how well you communicate your course vision. Perhaps this article on 11 Best Practices for E-Learning Storyboarding might give you some ideas on how to approach it. I hope that helps!
