Line style width increases when object is copied
The only answer I have gotten is to ensure there are no spaces in your document's save title and edit the shape's outline weight in the Format Shape menu.
If I change the weight of the doubling shapes in the Format Shape menu, it takes care of the issue 75% of the time.
I was also told to update my program after updating it two days prior, and so on. At this point, I remake any shapes that the Format Shape trick does not fix and throw my hands up because, apparently, this is our fault and "not a program issue."
Hey Ashley - came here and found this thread because I was just fed up with it happening over and over. (which btw, I use all underscores in my file's name by default so that answer is crazy).
I'm baffled that a shape element with a specified stroke weight that is then copied and pasted would then have the backend code allow those settings to change... but looks like it's been a gremlin in the code for over a decade.
It's definitely a programming issue, but most likely since it's something irritating and easily fixed it's put at a lower priority for other bugs with each update.
Frustrating for sure - you're not the only one having to work around it - I'd like to see it fixed too. Hang in there! :)

Thanks, I have yet to find a reason for it to occur. In one file, I will not have the issue, and in another, it occurs every single shape. Take luck!
Best regards,
Ashley
