Literally any email hyperlink: This XML file does not appear to have any style information...

Hello! I'm trying to use an email as a hyperlink in a course (like I've done 1,000x before) but keep getting this:

I've tried two completely different emails and keep getting this message. 

And, separately, can we please, for the love of all that's holy, allow copy and paste images in Discussion posts? Or, if that is possible, how do you do it? Thanks!
