Magnifying glass effect?
Hello,
I'm curious is there a way to do something like a magnifying glass effect?
I think the example above is the effect I want (shape of the glass can be rectangular)

That's a really cool feature, but I've never seen anything that fluid in Storyline. Here is a screencast by David Anderson: https://player.vimeo.com/video/149069839 that uses magnified screenshots to highlight areas on a screen. Hope it helps!

Unfortunately this link is broken :(
Hi Yoni - can you try the link again? Looks like there was an extra character in the link: https://player.vimeo.com/video/149069839

I have looked at the video above and although this method would work ok for my project, a magnifying glass effect like the original post suggestswould be better. Is there a relatively easy way to create this effect?
Thank youl

I see this post is older than 2 years. I too have the same query. The zoom tool in 360 is still the same and cannot be applied on a layer, only to a slide. I'm trying to make a map interactive, but will need the use of a magnifying glass effect so that the user can magnify areas at his own discretion.
- Hi Lisa! This would be an excellent feature request, since there are quite a few users who have needed the zoom tool on a layer. The beauty of Articulate 360 is that we're able to roll out updates pretty frequently, so would you be able to add in a Feature Request on the ability to zoom on a layer?

Thanks, I've submitted the request. As I am building modules for art history it sometimes require the exploration of the artwork in an isolated instance.

Thanks for submitting the request, Lisa!

The magnifying glass would be great for us too.
We use "what's wrong with this picture" activities and this would help students get a close up look at items they are not sure about.
Hey Kevin!
A magnifying glass feature is a super great suggestion. That sounds a bit different from the feature request Lisa submitted, which was the ability to apply a zoom region to a layer.
Would you mind explaining more about what you'd like to see to our product development team?
