Navigation and editing in Rise360

Navigating and editing in Rise360.

Good grief, talk about frustrations.  I primarily use the Timeline block.  First off, the navigation on the left when in edit mode, does not work. Any time you click any item it just jumps to the 2nd element; scroll down to work in another item and it automatically jumps back to the 2nd item.  This happens numerous times.  When I can edit an item, trying to highlight text is also difficult.  The text won't unhighlight; I can have several different sections highlighted (not what I want at all). It makes any type of editing prolonged and inefficient.

This all seemed to appear when the AI functions were added.  Is there some way to turn that function off; at least until the bugs are worked out.   I have been a big proponent of Rise in my group but am having some reservations after these roadblocks with the App.  I have a great deal of work coming up and this bug will decrease my productivity.  The increase in the amount of time to perform what where once simple edits is not acceptable. If this continues, I'm going back to Captivate.

Thank you for your attention.

p.s. My impression on posting issues in this forum is they often get a packaged response or ignored, Please prove me wrong.

  • Hi GarrikHudson-Fa!

Sorry to hear authoring in Rise 360 has been such a pain point for you!

I can confirm, we have both behaviors you described logged as bugs in Rise 360.

    • When editing Timeline Block events, the interface scrolls to the top of the page instead of maintaining focus on the selected timeline item.
      • As a workaround, we suggest, manually scrolling back to the specific timeline event to bring it into focus before editing.
    • Highlighted text inside of a Text Block remains selected even after clicking away or when highlighting separate text.

I've linked this discussion to both bug reports so we can notify you as soon as a fix is in place. Thank you for your patience. I'm sorry if this has been slowing you down!

Also, the account owner can email sales@articulate.com at any time to request that Articulate AI be disabled for their subscription or free trial. Please note that requesting to disable the AI services is different than disabling AI on the Articulate dashboard. When you disable Articulate AI on the Articulate 360 dashboard, AI Assistant tools still display in Rise 360 and Storyline 360 but aren’t functional. When Articulate AI services are disabled via a request, Articulate AI features and functionality are removed from Rise 360 and Storyline 360.

If you have any questions, please let me know here, or privately through a support case. We'd be happy to assist further!

Thank you for your prompt response.  I sent an email to request the features be removed.  How long does this process take?

      Best regards
