Navigation Tabs on Layers
Hello!
Trying to make a course accessible I have identified which elements should be "visible" so a learner can tab to where they want to go. But there are two issues I cannot find solutions for in the discussions/tutorials:
1. Is there a way to turn off tabs that are on the base layer so they are not visible on the layer slides, or, can I custom navigational tabs for layers? Currently on a layer, the learner needs to tap all of the tabs that show up on the base layer so one sees yellow shapes that mean nothing on the layer.
2. Can I turn off navigational tabs on the Player? If a learner is viewing the course and tabbing through it can be annoying to have to tab from Menu to Notes to Resources.

Do you have a demo story file or one you can share that has an example of what you are trying to accomplish? You can turn off things on the base layer from the individual layer timeline visibility.

This is a bit cumbersome but does show the issue. On the first image, the base layer, the first button is highlighted in yellow as it is the first tab. The second image is that of one of the layers, showing that original tab in yellow outline. Is there a way to turn off tabs on the layers that are needed in the base layer but not needed in the subsequent layers?

We still aren't able to see the images you're sending. Can you try using the "add attachment" button in this discussion instead?

So your images attached this time Don. So I am still trying to piece together what you are looking for, but I think this is it. When you are on a layer and want to hide something on the base layer, simply turn down the Base Layer Objects in the Layer timeline. You can turn on and off the base layer objects simply by clicking the eye on or off. This will affect this layer only and how the base layer objects are seen. You can do this for each layer. I do it a lot for text boxes that change base off of what layer the user is on. Hopefully this helps and is what you are looking for.

That did not do the trick. Another way to explain this is: On my original slide I have a Custom Tab Order set for 1. The Veterans Health Administration button 2. The VHA Exit button and so on for the following buttons.
So, when I preview the slide and hit the first button I show the yellow outline of the tab of the Veterans Health Administration button, which I'd like to not see.
So, going forward, is there a way that I can make up for my imprecise phrasing and be more clear? My thought is to be able to share with you folks a working slide that you could see how it is built and then give feedback, which would have made this all much simpler. Possible?

Yes, having a slide to see what you are trying to accomplish would be helpful.
The risk of being persistent is to become a pest and I hope I am not doing that, but I have come back to this issue and tried to more clearly show it in hopes of a solution. In making slides accessible there are sometimes confusing effects and I am wondering if there is a solution to this instance.

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know that you're still running into some trouble with this.
I tried to take a look at the latest file you've shared, but it's showing as 0 bytes and empty when downloading.
That being said, I've opened a support case on your behalf and shared your original two images as an example. This will allow you to work 1:1 with a support engineer to get to the bottom of the issue you are seeing.

Let me know what I can do to be able to attach items in the future. I am using Word, Edge as my browser - I'm confounded as to what the issue is!
I just tried to copy and paste the information from my attachment into this space but just the text appears and not the visuals that are essential to explaining what I am seeing. Can I send the attachment to an email address?
Hi Don,
It looks like you may have been replying via e-mail above. Is that correct? If so, the attachments from the e-mail do not populate in the forum as expected.
You can use the Add Attachment option in your reply, which it looks like you have successfully done as well.
If you'd like to attach an image or gif as I've done above, please use the 'Insert an Image' option in the top of the reply window:
