Outline size increases when shape copied.

So, whenever I copy a button or shape, the weight of the border increases exponetially.
It is quite frustrating. is anyone else having this issue?

  • Can you share what version of Storyline you're using and perhaps a quck peek video so we can see what you're doing and what's happening? Also, if you want to share the Storyline slide, that would help.

Hi Tom, here you go =)

Using the most recent version of SL but it's been an issue for me for a while, that the size of the outline of various states of the button increase.
      Thanks for looking into this,
      Cheers

      Hi AK-6c49484b-5f7 & KateMackenzie!

Sorry to hear you've run into this setback!

I can confirm we have this behavior logged as a bug in Storyline 360. This bug is observed when copying/pasting a Shape or Button after increasing the Slide size, to a custom size with "Scale existing content to fit" enabled. Copying each new item will also increase the line width of each new copy, exponentially. Please note this issue does not occur when decreasing the Slide size, or using a Preset Slide size.

I've included your voices in the bug report we are tracking, so we can notify you as soon as a fix is in place. In the meantime, as a workaround, we suggest:

      • After resizing a Slide, delete the existing Shape and insert a new one.
      • Use the Format Painter tool to apply the formatting of the original Button/Shape to it's duplicate.

Thank you for your patience. I'm sorry if this has been slowing you down!
