Paint & Photos apps on Win10 - edit AI graphics
Try Googling for open-sourced graphics apps. They range from meh to great, and from simple to overpowered, but they've often been around for years and typically support multiple versions of Windows. I am not a big fan of web-based apps, even though they may be 'free' and offer may easy to use features. I prefer something that can be used anywhere and completely offline if necessary so I am not hindered by network coverage or server outages.
That said, my go to for graphics editing is Krita. It is like a lightweight Photoshop, but much easier to learn enough of the basics to do some significant editing. There are many tutorials available online to teach you how to do simple and more complex editing. I don't do much vector editing, but Inkscape is a popular free alternative to Illustrator. It is somewhat complicated to learn from scratch though. If you just need simple vector edits, you may be able to get by with some free online editors or some other free downloadable apps. Just search for some comparison reviews of free graphics or vector editors and evaluate what they offer, and which might cover your needs.
Thanks for the recommendation Nathan_Hilliard – hadn't heard of Krita.
