Parameters/Settings for Full Screen Screenshots?

Hi, everybody. I sent this earlier, but it doesn't seem to have gone through. My apologies if this is a repeat question.
I am using SnagIt to capture screenshots of a software application. I then inserting each screenshot, taking up the full slide, on a slide in Storyline to create a system demo.
The screenshots look okay until I publish. Then they're blurry, even if I turn off image compression when publishing.
What are the best settings to use in Storyline to keep the images as sharp as possible? Any other best practices to share? I feel like I'm trying everything to preserve the screenshot quality, and Storyline is fighting me on it! It's pointless to have a system demo if learners can't read the text because it's so blurry. Thanks!

Have you tried taking the screenshots at the size of the slide layout, it may be that your screenshots are a lot larger than the slide, and that the aspect ratio is the same. I think the closer you can get to actual size the less messing about Storyline does.

  • Hi, Mary.

I have great news to share!

We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 63, we’ve included important fixes and new features.

One of the fixes we’ve included is:

We improved how Storyline 360 handles images during import and in the published output, resulting in crisper images.

To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
