Play back Speed of a Gif
So, the Storyline player has the option to adjust the playback speed. I am remediating a training for accessibility and there is a slide that has a gif that shows an action. I want to give learners a button on the slide that will allow them to watch the GIF in slow motion. My ideas are:
- put a button that when selected, slows down the action on that layer (player speed), but when the layer closes, returns the player speed to whatever the learner had it set at before? is that a thing?
- Have a button that when selected, opens a slow-motion layer that somehow automatically slows the action on that layer
Side quest: How do I make a gif go slow motion? - I suppose I could create a separate gif that is just slower using video editing? Then the button would just toggle between the two versions of the GIF?
Am I over thinking this? Is there a simple way to slow down the action of a gif?
Other ideas?

The key to an accessible GIF is creating it using a tool that allows you to turn off looping or insert it as a video so that it can be paused. In addition, videos include their own playback speed controls.
