Pre-Assessment Module Reporting

Is there a way i can report on whether or not a colleague completed the pre-assessment or endpoint assessment on a module? I need to be able to proove time saved by completing the pre-assessment as apposed to going through the complete module and end point assessment.

I'm using the Skill Cast platform to host the SCORM file if that makes a difference?

Could really do with some help on this, we go Live with the module on 16/05/2022, the module is fully working and doing as expected but i need to be able to prove ROI with pre-assessments so need to be able to track which method was used to complete the module. I'm pretty sure i need to fancy Javascript on a 3rd Results slide to be able to tell our LMS how the module has been completed but I have very basic knowledge in JavaScript. happy to share my file with you if you can provide a secure link to try and help me out.

Any and all help would be very much appreciated.

  • Hi, Rob.

    Thank you for reaching out!

The data reporting is specific to your LMS, and you might need to get in touch with their support department to see how to access certain information. Here's what is being sent by Storyline:

My initial recommendation would be to test your project with SCORM Cloud. Check out this step-by-step article

If you have both quizzes (pre-checked and final assessment) checked under tracking options (on the Publishing menu), then the report should show if both quizzes were attempted (which means the pre-check was failed), or if only the first one was completed (pre-check passed). The way multiple completion criteria works is that the first one that gets completed is the one reported:

You can choose one, two, or even all three tracking options. Whichever option a learner completes first is the one that gets reported to your LMS/LRS. (Only one option gets sent to the LMS/LRS, even if a learner completes multiple criteria.)

If you need help testing your project, you're welcome to share it through a private support case.
