Problem with italic font in publishing

Hello,

I have a reccuring issue that I could not resolve. I use storyline for business purposes, and I've noticed every time I open a project from my computer the font is automaticly becomes italic. The italic button is not selected, but all the fonts in the file still seem italic. Because of that, I can not publish any project from my personal computer, and every edit I make in the text needs to be reviewed.

Can you please help me with this issue? Did it happen to more people?

*I mostly use Lato font, but it also happening in Open Sans, and also in other languanges.

Thank you

  • Hi May,

I'm sorry to hear you've hit this snag! We're not seeing reports of similar issues regarding italic fonts, so it's most likely specific to your setup.

I'm happy to help troubleshoot. We can start by checking if you're working on your local drive; working on a network drive can cause erratic behavior. If the issue persists, try running these steps:

We'd be glad to investigate further if the problem persists. You may share your Storyline project here or privately in a support case so we can take a look. We'll delete it when we're done!

      Hi German!

It sounds like the font from your Rise lesson becomes italic when published to Review 360. Sorry to hear that, but I'd be happy to help!

Testing the behavior on my end, I published a sample Rise lesson to Review 360 but was unable to reproduce the same issue.

I have some follow-up questions to help me understand your setup a little better:

      • Does this behavior occur across all browsers, or is it specific to one?
      • Do you experience this issue with any font that's being used?
      • Does this problem occur across multiple Rise lessons or just one?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

        Hello,

        Thank you for reaching out.

We only use Google Chrome across our company, not an easy fix to just switch to Firefox or any other.

It looks like the problem happens when I copy a course and edit that version to create a new one from that "template".

It does not change text that is part of special formatting like: headings, sub-headings, text on interactive blocks. Only Statement style text.

A couple of our team members have also found that the issue happened when they edited a copy as well.

Let me know if you need any additional information.
