Problems with Continue button displaying before playing of video

Hi all,

I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this issue, but I added a continue block below an embedded video in Rise 360 and marked the completion type as "complete block directly above". In edit mode, it shows that it's locked down, but when I preview (or view it in the LMS once the SCORM content is uploaded), the Continue button is active and can be clicked without the user viewing the video. Is there something else I need to do to get the Continue button to work? It's working on all other content in the Rise 360 course.

Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise!

As  embedded videos exist outside of Rise 360, a Continue block cannot be used to track if the video was watched or not.

I was afraid of that. The SCORM file is too big for the LMS (Thinkific) to handle if I upload the video files directly in the Rise 360 course, so I had to host them in another platform and embed them in Rise 360 so I could get around the file size issue with the LMS. Sigh.

  • I am having this same issue, but I'm using a video block in Rise. In preview mode, it works fine, but once published to my LMS (Cornerstone, as xAPI), the Continue block is active before playing the video. Any suggestions?
