Quiz with mutiple choice and multiple responses is really slow when submit
Hi to all of you,
(Sorry, my english isnt my main language)
I did a quiz on Storyline articulate.
I have used two type of question on my same quiz : multiple choice and multiple response.Unfortunately, it works but when I hit the submit button, it takes about 10 to 15 sec to have my retroaction answer. Employees are complaining and I totaly understand.
When I did simple quiz with multiple choice, everything was smooth and easy. Maybe it's the mix of the two types of questions?
FYI, I manually built submit buttons into the quiz slides (you can see it in attachments)
Does anyone have any ideas? I can't find anything and I really want my quiz smooth and easy to do.
Thank you

Carolyn, when you built the quiz that now takes much longer than expected, did you use a different question bank with more items? I've seen similar issues (processing time increases) when we use a question bank with 20 items but are only choosing 10 items. So that may be one potential cause. A second cause may be that there are caching issues with the LMS delivery - so that the user's browser is the problem, and nothing with the story.
I don't believe your custom "validate" button has anything to do with the interaction speed but it could. You could test this by importing the questions into a new question bank and then using the standard "submit" button options and seeing if the same problem occurs.
Good luck!

What do you mean about the question bank? I have 15 questions, and some of them avec multiple choice (4 answers, one correct), and I have multiple response (4 answers and 1 to 3 are correct)... Do you think this is the problem?

Carolyn, see this article about question banks:
And no, I don't think the multiple choice/multiple response difference is the problem, though it may be.
