Recording which branch in a branching scenario was completed in LMS

Storyline is designed to report graded quiz and survey results to an LMS. It doesn't report on how a user completed interactions nor what slides they visited.
If each branch uses a separate quiz, you could tell which branch someone took by pulling the quiz details from the LMS.
Another option: Use a Survey question slide (or slides) to determine the path.
- It sounds like the users already need to make selections that determine their path, so perhaps those could be done via Survey question slides.
- Alternately, you could use a disguised Survey question slide. Cover its buttons or input field, and use triggers to select/enter an "answer" based on which path the user will be going down.
- Note that you'll also need to include a Survey Results slide somewhere. That's what tells Storyline to send the survey info to the LMS. That slide could also be disguised (for example, make it look like a course summary).
Another option would be to use JavaScript or xAPI. (Sorry, I can't help with that.)
